FOOD AND DRINK

Penthouse Lynmouth Bay boasts a fully equipped kitchen including microwave and dishwasher, and the two mini-markets in the town are extremely well stocked, for those planning on self-catering.

In addition, there are enough cafés, pubs and restaurants in the immediate locale to satisfy all tastes and budgets.

Within three minutes’ walk of the Penthouse, you have two highly renowned restaurants; The Vanilla Pod and The Oak Rooms, several pubs serving food, including The Crown and The Queens, and a number of cafés serving breakfasts, brunches, lunches and Devon cream teas.

There are further dining options down in Lynmouth, including gastro pubs such as The Rising Sun, The Mariners and the nearby Blue Ball; as well as the popular bistro No.7, which serves excellent steaks, fish and vegetarian dishes.

The Nartnapa at Barbrook is just 15 minutes’ walk along a lit path and serves delicious Thai food by the riverside, while fine dining from celebrity chef Michael Caines at Kentisbury Grange is just a 20 minute drive (or taxi ride) away.

It goes without saying, that fabulous fish & chips are available throughout the region, and especially in Lynton & Lynmouth.

The vast majority of establishments are family friendly, and Lynton has several cafés catering for older kids with shakes, paninis and smoothies etc.
